Skating for Hockey & Ringette

CanPowerSkate ideally incorporates skaters/players at the “Golden Age of Learning” (ages 9-12) to enhance their skating ability by teaching technique and efficiency, for quality execution. Hockey and Ringette Players aged approximately 8-11.
Older or more advanced players will be referred to the advanced technical skating program. If your son or daughter is already a Pure Sk8 client, you will be advised as to what class is suitable for your player.
Registration is inclusive of both the ice and coaching fees.

Pure Sk8 Philosophy is rooted in purposeful and deliberate practice which provides the necessary support to allow players of all levels the opportunity to reach their full potential. Corrective Instruction, from beginner to advanced, is intended to provide strong technical skating fundamentals that are essential and foundational to the growth of each player. Open to hockey and ringette players, U9 / U11 / U13 / U15.

Start Date: September 16 to December 16. *Omit October 7 & November 11

Puresk8 Winter 2027

Start Date: January 6 to March 17. *Omit February 17
Sessions: 10 sessions
Cost: $462
As this session is provided on Derrick Skating Club ice time, all skaters are required to have a Skate Canada Membership of $61. This fee is added automatically at the time of registration. The membership year runs September 1 to August 1 annually.
