About Us
The Derrick Skating Club has been in operation in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada since September of 1966 and was Incorporated in 1976. All skaters registered in any of our programs automatically become members of Skate Canada, the governing body for figure skating in Canada.

The Derrick Skating Club will provide Skate Canada programming to inspire and support participants in our community to embrace the lifelong enjoyment of skating at any age and ability for fun, fitness, and achievement.

Learn to Skate Programs
These include Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, Advanced CanSkate, and Adult CanSkate. We also offer Inclusive Skating to special needs skaters (please contact our office for more information).
Figure Skating Group Programs
Introductory Figure Skating Academy (IFSA) bridges Learn to Skate and our STARSkate program. We also offer specialized group programs to our STARSkate and CompetitiveSkate athletes.
Private Level Figure Skating
This programs include Skate Canada’s STARSkate and CompetitiveSkate programs.
Off Ice classes
Offered multiple times per week to increase physical literacy, strength, stamina, and flexibility through fitness, jump, and dance classes.
